FAQs about our ladders

Rotating composters are a great addition to any garden that produces a lot of organic garden waste throughout the year. It helps you remove your waste in an eco friendly way, leaving you with homemade compost to use in your garden.

A rotating compost bin makes creating compost much faster than a traditional stationary compost bin. It works by allowing oxygen to reach more of the decomposing materials more often. Each time you spin the rotating compost bin, it allows more oxygen to reach more of the organic waste, speeding the decomposition process and cutting months from the process.

You can load your rotating compost bin with roughly 75% garden waste, such as grass or plant cuttings, and 25% food and kitchen waste. This ensures that your compost doesn’t end up too runny or too moist.

If you have a very small garden or terrace, the smaller size should work exceptionally well for your needs, allowing you to compost kitchen waste and garden waste. However, if you have a bigger space of land you should consider the large compost tumbler to ensure you don’t run out of space.

When recently filled, you should turn your compost tumbler once  every three to four days. As your compost matures, you will be able to turn the tumbler less frequently as it will need less oxygen to decompose.

This depends on conditions such as temperature, weather, humidity and the balance of carbon and nitrogen. But if the conditions are ideal, you can convert home and garden waste in as little as three weeks in a sealed compost tumbler.
