Henchman Frequently Asked Questions

Payment

When do I pay? Henchman Ltd requires payment in full, in advance of dispatching your order.

How can I pay? We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa debit or credit.

When is my money actually taken? On orders received through the post, Henchman will not take payment until the day your order is dispatched. For orders taken online or over the phone payment is taken at the time of order and we aim to dispatch within 48 hours. Henchman aims to keep stock at all times but on the occasions where we are out of stock of a particular item we will aim to notify you that the item is on "pre-order" and give you an expected delivery date before you place your order. In these instances, we require full payment with your order, to allow us a seamless and timely dispatch when the stock does arrive.

We can provide businesses with a Pro Forma invoice on request from which to raise payment; and will automatically email a VAT sales receipt as standard.

Delivery

How much is delivery? Delivery is included free of charge to mainland UK. Please ask us for overseas options.

What is the delivery period? We aim to dispatch all orders placed before 12pm on the same day (dependent on stock availability).

Delivery to UK mainland should take 2-3 working days, but occasionally delays can occur and cause the time frame to extend beyond this. We do not guarantee delivery on a certain date, and the delivery timeframe displayed on our product pages should be used as a guide only.

Deliveries to offshore UK and Ireland can take up to 7 working days. For overseas orders, please check the delivery time with us when placing your order as it varies by country and region.

What is the delivery process? We will email you on the day of dispatch with consignment and courier details, as well as details on how to manage the process.

The couriers are unable to provide an estimated delivery time. If you are going to be out on the day of delivery you can request for your order to be left in a safe place, either by entering your safe location into the delivery instructions whilst placing your order or by calling the courier after you have received your dispatch email. If having read our instructions and spoken with the courier you would like any further assistance please contact us.

Can I collect? Yes, by appointment only please. Please check product (and staff) availability before you set off.

Do I have to be at home to receive the goods? A signature from a responsible person is required as proof of delivery by our courier, unless you have left instructions for the goods to be left unattended –  The courier will leave a card requesting you contact them if they go to deliver and find no one in. Delivery can then be attempted again. Please note neither the courier nor Henchman will cover the cost of re-attempting delivery more than twice following initial attempt, or for goods lost having been requested left unattended.

Can I request the goods left unattended? Yes, you can request for your order to be left in a safe place, either by entering your safe location into the delivery instructions whilst placing your order, or by calling the courier after you have received your dispatch email. Customers requesting goods left unattended do so at their own risk, and your goods will not be insured against theft or damage.

Kindly inform us if the courier leaves goods unattended and unsigned for without your written request.

Health and Safety

Henchman puts health and safety first. It is a broad area so if you have any questions it is best to talk with Tom Kitching at Henchman. Henchman platforms conform to GPSR 1994 and to Working at Height Regulations 2005.

Private householders are bound by Working At Height Regulations if they are paying anyone to work at any height in the home or garden and put themselves - as well as the operator - at risk if they provide unsuitable equipment for workers to use.

There is always risk when working at height. A Henchman platform greatly reduces this risk. However it is essential that it is used properly and with common sense and awareness. Henchmans user guides prioritise safety. Please ensure that you and all users of our products read and understand the user guide carefully before starting work. Free extra copies can be obtained from the relevant product page on our website or by contacting Henchman Ltd.
