Mr Gordon Mott

Mr Mott is a typical private householder Henchman customer (90% of our customers are Householders). He has a garden at his home in North London with hedges up to 12ft high on three sides at the front and rear of the property. The hedging is generally on uneven ground and in part in a confined space with one stretch over a rockery.

Mr Mott was looking for an easier, efficient and above all safer way of cutting his hedges. Until he discovered Henchman he had been using an extendable domestic ladder which, at the higher parts, involved standing on the upper-most rung and leaning precariously over the hedge. Mr Mott joked,

    "I started to notice that my wife was doubling my life insurance at the start of each hedge-cutting season."

He added,

    "We then tried the children's climbing frame but this was too big, bulky and difficult to manoeuvre. After that we borrowed a neighbour's building scaffolding but we had similar problems with it."
